The Black-Tie Gala Initiative brings alumni, professionals and friends of the community together to celebrate shared heritage, recognise achievement, and invest in what comes next.
For many of us, Nakawa Estate was more than a place where we lived. It was where our stories began - where friendships were formed, dreams were nurtured, lessons were learned and unforgettable memories were made.
Life has since taken us in different directions. We have become professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders and parents. Yet, wherever life has taken us, the foundation of those early years remains part of who we are. The Gala is where we gather. The Initiative is what we build together beyond that evening.
It is with great joy and a deep sense of purpose that I welcome you to our Annual Black-Tie Dinner Gala 2026. This gathering is more than a celebration - it is a reaffirmation of our shared roots, our collective strength, and our commitment to building a brighter future together.
This Gala is an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen our bonds, and contribute to a greater cause - ensuring that our shared history continues to create opportunities for the next generation. Together, we can turn shared memories into real opportunities.

The Initiative has its roots in the Nakawa Estate community, where many of our stories, friendships and professional journeys began. Our ambition extends beyond Nakawa - we envision building a respected and sustainable institution that uses the power of relationships, shared heritage, professional networks and social responsibility to create opportunities across generations and communities.
